Community Coalition’s Working Group

Working GroupThe Community Coalition, organized in the late 90's, provides a forum for exchange of information between local stakeholder organizations, resource and regulatory agencies, members of the public and other committees. The Coalition has since transitioned into what is referred to as the "Working Group," and their meetings synthesize creative ideas and professional expertise, both of which are critical to developing a unique and successful community-based flood management plan.

The "Working Group" is a dedicated group of citizens representing technical experts, engineers, environmental groups, neighborhood and homeowners' associations, and a variety of other interests. The format of the Working Group provides two-way communication on flood-related issues, which are forwarded flood project staff for consideration by the FPCC.

These meetings allow the community at large to share ideas and prioritize. There is no set membership, everyone in the community is invited to participate in the working group meetings. The meetings are held the last Wednesday of every month from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
